You Are Chosen

As I grow in my walk with the Lord, I am in awe of the love that He has for us, that we are chosen. It took me a while to really let these verses sink in to my heart because of life experiences. And every so often, God will remind me of them. Growing up, my biological mom was in and out of my life (out for the most part), because she had bipolar disorder and it took root in her life, like a bondage. As a teenager I sometimes thought she did not love me, because she did not choose to be in my life. When in reality she just needed help. God is so good to restore our brokenness, and if it was not for God, I would still be that broken child.

You are chosen! God chose you before you were even in your mother’s womb – Jeremiah 1:5. He chose you while He was making you – Psalm 139:13-14. God chooses to know every detail of your life – Mathew 10:30. He chooses you even in all of your mistakes – John 3:16. God chooses you to be royalty – 1 Peter 2:9. God chooses you for a purpose – Jeremiah 29:11. God chooses you, because you are His – Psalm 82:6.

You may feel like who would choose me? God did! He chooses you right now! He chooses you even when you do not choose Him. He chooses you in the midst of all your mistakes. He chooses you in in your future! He chooses in the making of you! You are a BIG deal to God even before you were in your mother’s womb! So BIG that He gave His only son to die on a cross for you!

Do not let the enemy tell you, you do not have a future, that you have made too many mistakes, that you are not wonderfully made or that nobody cares for you. God chose you! Keep going even if you do not feel like you are chosen!

Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for choosing me! Help me to believe that I am chosen by You. In Jesus’ Name I Pray, Amen.
