Take Time to Have Fun

My Dad once told me, “There is always going to be housework.” There is always going to be a to do list. I am constantly tracking down that to do list – what is next on that list? But sometimes I start to feel weary in doing the same thing day in and day out, that I recently heard God speak in my devotional time, “Go and do something fun.” There is a time for everything and you need to take time for yourself and have fun.

The title for Ecclesiastes 3 is “A Time for Everything.” It says in verse 3:4 a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance (NIV).

We go through different seasons in life and I just want to encourage you to take time for yourself every once in a while to have fun. That might look like doing something fun by yourself because you need some time like that, grabbing a friend or doing something fun with the family. There will always be housework and to do lists, but there is also a time to laugh and to dance and enjoy life. Enjoy times like those too! Take time to have fun!

Dear Heavenly Father, thank You that we can have moments in life to laugh and dance! I pray that You will help me to find time to enjoy those moments too. In Jesus’ Name I Pray, Amen.
