Pray for the Walls to Fall Down

I write things down in my journal that I am praying for God to do a miracle. I will circle them as if I am marching around them wanting to see the walls come falling down like the Israelites marching around the walls of Jericho. I have circled dreams that I have, goals that I want to accomplish and breakthroughs that I am hoping for. I highlight specific things that I am praying about. I have not seen them all answered yet, but I have marked off quite a few! Whether you circle your prayer items or not, a prayer journal is another great way to see what you are praying and believing God for. I believe whole-heartedly in the power of prayer and praying to God who is able to answer those prayers!

The Israelites had marched around the walls of Jericho one time each day for six days and on the seventh day, they marched around it seven times, blew the trumpets and shouted, and the walls came falling down - Joshua 6:3-5 “March around the city once with all the armed men. Do this for six days. Have seven priests carry trumpets of rams’ horns in front of the ark. On the seventh day, march around the city seven times, with the priests blowing the trumpets. When you hear them sound a long blast on the trumpets, have the whole army give a loud shout; then the wall of the city will collapse and the army will go up, everyone straight in” (NIV).

The Israelites had to acknowledge God, obey God’s instructions, be persistent and follow through with them, not giving up, and listen for the trumpets to blare as that was their que to shout, so they needed to be able to hear.

What walls do you need to come falling down in your life? What can you pray about saying, “God I need Your mighty hand to move in my situation.” Can you hear God speaking to you through the noise of the outside world? Can you hear His instructions? Are you doing His instructions and being persistent or are you giving up hope? I believe that you and I, as we press into God, we will see those walls fall down! Keep praying and believing!

Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for moving in mighty ways! I pray that You will move in my situation today and the walls will come crashing down. In Jesus’ Name I Pray, Amen.
