God is Writing About His Faithful People

My husband shared this verse with me not to long ago because I am always writing in my journal. It brought a smile to my face that God writes too! Yes, He is writing about His faithful people!

Malachi 3:16 Then those who feared the Lord talked with each other, and the Lord listened and heard. A scroll of remembrance was written in his presence concerning those who feared the Lord and honored his name (NIV).

When you read the book of Malachi, many people were not living in fear of the Lord. There was a lot of disobedience to the Lord. But I want to point out that even though there was a lot of that going on then, there were still people who were faithful to God. And God wrote that down.

How cool is that God is writing about those who honor and love Him. He is taking note of what we do, how we are being faithful to Him - seeking Him with all of our heart. He sees you serving at church, being kind to others, raising your children to love Him, talking about Him with your neighbor, doing His will, fulfilling your calling and not conforming to the world. He is writing it down in the scroll of remembrance.

What an honor that is! God, who needs no paper or pencil to remember things, is taking the time to write things down. We are so loved!

Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for loving me more than I can possible even imagine! I am so thankful for Your unconditional love. It can be tough at times, but I know that You are a loving God who notices what we are doing. Help me to continue being faithful to Your will. In Jesus’ Name I Pray, Amen.
