Get Back Up

Lamentations 3:22-23 – “Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness” (NIV).

My daughter just recently started riding her bike without training wheels. My husband did such a good job teaching her and was so encouraging when she would fall down. He would encourage her to get back up and do it again. Spiritually, our heavenly Father is just like that. We are going to fall in life, make mistakes and maybe even feel defeated. We serve a God who is merciful and will tell us to get back up and try again.

Today is a new day, and God’s compassion is made new this morning! Do not be afraid to get back up and try again with God. God will strengthen, encourage, equip and refresh you as you take new steps of accomplishing goals, trying something new or overcoming battles that you face! Before you know it, you will have overcome that obstacle!

Dear Heavenly Father, thank You that Your mercies are made new every morning! I pray that I will get up today and try again. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
