Hope

I love this time of the year as we near the celebration of Jesus’ birthday! It has me reflecting lately about all of the hope that is found in Jesus through having faith. Every once in a while, doubt will start creeping in, but God is good to reassure me through His Word to have faith and believe Him for the good things I hope for even when I cannot see what is up ahead.

As Paul wrote in Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see (NIV).

When we have faith, we have this great hope and confidence inside of us even though we cannot see what is up ahead. We are trusting God as we believe Him. Have faith, trusting Jesus with confidence that He came to help us in our life. Be hopeful and do not doubt Him. Jesus said it does not take much faith, just a tiny mustard seed of faith (Mathew 17:20). You may be hoping for salvation for a family member, healing, restoration, a financial break through, needing encouragement in your doubts, change or inspiration - have hope that those good things are coming as you put your faith in Jesus.

We can celebrate right now while we wait for prayers to be answered because we have a Savior who gives us that hope. We are not left hiding out in the dark all alone with no light to help us find our way through it. Miracles do happen, but it takes having faith in the only One who does miracles – Jesus!

Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for giving us, Jesus! Thank You for the hope that You give me. Help me to trust that You have come to help me, no doubting. In Jesus’ Name I Pray, Amen.
